Sub-indicator 33A: Number of children whose case was managed during the year (total cases) The indicator expresses the number of children identified at risk and / or in need of protection, whose cases were managed during the year by child protection units and child protection staff (cases carried and new cases together). The indicator is reported at national level, and is disagregated by geographic division, and according to the level of risk at which the child was assessed at the time of identification, and the main problems that have placed the child in a risk / vulnerability situation, increasing the child's chances to become a victim of abuse, exploitation, violence or neglect. Sub-indicator 33B: Number of children whose case was identified and managed during the year (new cases) The indicator expresses the number of children who have been identified as at risk and / or in need of protection during the year and for whom child protection units and child protection staff have started case management (new cases). The indicator is reported at national level, and is disagregated by geographic division, age group, gender, ethnicity, citizenship, source of reference / case identification. Sub-indicator 33C: Number of children for whom case management has been completed The indicator expresses the number of children who have been taken into protection and managed as a case by child protection units and child protection staff. TThe indicator is reported at national level, and is disagregated by geographic division, and the reasons for closing the case.

The indicator is displayed in national extent, at regional and municipal level, and is subdivided by age group, gender, ethnicity, nationality, source of reference / case identification.
