The indicator expresses the number of children 0–18 years old resident in residential social care institutions. The indicator does not include the number of children receiving day care in these institutions, or in other social care centers for victims of violence and / or trafficking. The indicator is reported at national level and is disaggregated by gender, age group, sector public/private and type of service.
